Some wedding days remind you that the best stories are the ones you wish you could relive over and over again. Aleem and Lexi’s wedding at Fraser River Lodge was one of those days, and we had the joy of capturing it all through both photography and cinematic videography.
You may recognize these two from Survivor Vancouver, but this time, their adventure looked a little different. It was a celebration of their life together, surrounded by their favourite people, incredible food, endless laughter, and so much love.
Set against the breathtaking mountain scenery of Fraser River Lodge in Agassiz, British Columbia, their April wedding unfolded beneath a soft, overcast sky. We have a soft spot for cloudy spring wedding days. The light is gentle, the atmosphere feels a little more intimate, and everything takes on that romantic, moody quality we love. April gave us the perfect setting to capture their day in a way that felt natural, timeless, and true to them.
And the bridal party? An absolute dream. From the excitement of getting ready to the laughter, heartfelt moments, and celebrations that carried throughout the day, these were the kind of people who made every moment feel effortless. There was no shortage of big personalities, genuine connection, and the kind of laughter that reminds us why we love what we do.
Fraser River Lodge provided the perfect backdrop for it all. With its rustic charm, sweeping mountain views, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a venue that feels both grand and intimate. Add in an incredible meal, a lively celebration, and two people so clearly loved by everyone around them, and you have the makings of an unforgettable wedding.
One of the most beautiful parts of documenting a wedding is knowing that the memories don't have to live in photographs alone. Alongside capturing the fleeting glances, heartfelt embraces, and beautiful details in still images, we also filmed Aleem and Lexi’s day, preserving the movement, voices, and emotion that make a wedding film so special. The laughter of their favourite people, the feeling of the day unfolding, and the moments that might otherwise fade with time can now be revisited through both photographs and film.
